About Dr. Shirin Rashid Shaikh
Dr. Shirin Shaikh is an Assistant Professor in the subject of English. She is also Head, Department of Business Communication in Poona College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Pune. She has an experience of more than 16 years in the field of teaching English as a Second language at the undergraduate as well as post graduate level. She has written and published several articles in international peer reviewed journals. She has also published two books on teaching vocabulary. Her area of specialisation is English Language and Literature Teaching.
She has worked as a Counselor of Indra Gandhi National Open University, Delhi for 5years. She was an Associate Editor of Asian Journal of English (An International Journal of Contemporary Issues) for several years.
She has completed her International Certification in Teaching English as Second or Other Language/Teaching English as Foreign Language with distinction from Oxford Seminars, Houston, Texas, USA. She is a global professional member of TESOL international Association. She is also a founder member of My Incubation Centre, Institute of advance studies in English.
