About Dr. Dakshayani S. Jangamshetti
Dr. Dakshayani S. Jangamshetti obtained M.Tech. and PhD from IIT Kharagpur (1989) and IIT Bombay (2003) respectively. She has been actively involved in teaching and research since 2003. Her research area focuses mainly on speech signal processing and has guided five PhD scholars. She has 48 research publications in International journals and has presented research findings in International conferences. Till date she has received research grant of Rs. 16+ lakhs. She has experience of working as Member of Board of Examination at University level, Member secretary of BEC Academic Council and NAAC coordinator at Institute level. Professionally she is senior member of IEEE and has received Outstanding IEEE Branch Counselor award for the year 2014, for her excellent contribution to IEEE activities. She is also Fellow member of IETE and IE(I), LM BME and LM ISTE. She has received Distinguished Women in Engg award from Venus International Foundation (VIWA-2019) and Best teacher award (Academic Excellence Award-2019) from International Association of Research and Developed Organization (IARDO). At the societal level, Dr. Dakshayani is President of the Kittur Rani Channamma Residential Sainik School (KRCRSS) for Girls, Kittur, Belagavi, Karnataka India. She has also served as Head of department of E&EE, BEC during 2015-18. Presently Dr. Dakshayani is Professor at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engg. Basaveshwar Engineering College (Autonomous) Bagalkot, Karnataka, India.
