About Dr. Tahmina Mushtaq


Dr. Tahmina Mushtaq, Assistant Professor, Division of Entomology, Sher-e-Kashmir of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-Kashmir), Srinagar, J and K, India. She has done UG degree from SKUAST-Kashmir and received Gold Medal and certificate of Merit by attaining 1 st Position in UG. She has received her Masters and Ph.D from the same university (SKUAST-Kashmir). She has obtained Ph.D degree in Entomology with Specialization in Pollinator Diversity and Role of pollinators in Apple Pollination. She has also qualified NET- 2009. She then joined as Assistant Professor (Entomology) in 2017 at SKUAST-Kashmir. She teaches courses related to Entomology across faculties in all the programmes (UG, PG and Ph.D).She has published more than 30 papers/ reviews, abstracts and technical bulletins of International and National repute. She has also served as reviewer of Asian Journal of Research in Zoology and has received certificate of excellence for the same .She has also qualified for Indian National Science Academy Fellowship (INSA Summer Research Fellowship-2019). Besides her regular University program, currently, She is also handling externally funded project in the capacity of Principal Investigator (PI) entitled, “Scientific Interventions in Management of Browntail moth (Euproctis chrysorrhoea) with reference to its Distribution and Biology under Cold Arid Region of Ladakh” funded by DST-GoI.
