About: Dr. S. Gopikrishnan

Dr. S. Gopikrishnan currently working as Assistant Professor (Sr. Grade) in School of Computer Science and Engineering, VIT-AP University, Amaravathi. I received BE, ME, and a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, Chennai. My current research interests include algorithm design and analysis for wireless ad hoc networks, wireless sensor networks, the internet of things, and cyber-physical system. I am an active reviewer in many reputed journals of IEEE, Springer, and Elsevier. As we know, sharing knowledge is far more valuable than acquiring knowledge. After I had learned something new, I always have the itch to share my new discovery with my companions. ????????? ?????? ???????? ???????????  ???????? ?????? ?????. That’s why I have started enjoying "teaching" at my young age. That’s why I have chosen my passion as teaching. My main motivation to work in academia, as opposed to industry, is the opportunity to teach, advice, inspire and educate the Students. My first teaching duty started from June 2009 as a Lecturer in the department of Computer Science and Engineering at Vidyaa Vikas College of Engineering and Technology. After I have completed my post-graduation, I have continued my teaching career from June 2012 as an Assistant Professor in the department of computer science and engineering at Karpagam Institute of Technology. Then I have competed my highest number of teaching experience as assistant professor in Information Technology department at Karpagam College of Engineering, Coimbatore from April 2014 to May 2019. From May 2019, I have started my service as an Assistant Professor (Sr. Grade-2) in School of Computer Science and Engineering at VIT-AP University, Amaravathi. Also, I am managing the Industrial Collaborations for the University as Assistant Director (Industrial Collaborations). My research work has spanned a diverse set of topics, covering sensor node localization, data aggregation delay control in sensor networks, data security in sensor networks, collision free sensor network communication, Internet of things, Cyber Physical systems, and Network security. As a researcher, I have authored more than 30+ international pulications including 8 SCI Indexed and 13+ Scopus Indexed journals. As part of this research journey, I am hold two patents granted and 4 patents published Also 3 book chapters of international repute.
